Lives are busy! Hardly we find time to take a look around. How much wastes we create each day? Think! Right where the day begins..it begins with a plastic-tube of tooth paste, metal tin of a hot chocolate, cold drinks. Where all this is disposed? ..Disposed? Questions arising are certainly approaching the issue of non degradable wastes!
"Monsters inside me" statement itself sound paranoiac! It is a tv programme broadcasted on discovery science. Normally the program includes deadly bacterial infections caused by recklessness or unusual habits, but this episode was a bit different.
Fine summer morning Mr. Tough stepped into a cafe near by. Old guy loved to pop up a diet soda can in cafe each morning. Day felt usual just like each day..he smirks a, 'goodbye' and left for his work. After a tiresome day what all we please is for a sound sleep and that's what even he wanted. Unfortunately, calm sleep was mile away. Midnight was unpleasant, he started to cough and choke; coughing was persistent through the night. He saw hint of tissues, pus and blood on the bathroom floor. Its was obvious to seek medical help which he did, doctor ran few tests over him and diagnosed pneumonia. He was given oxygen support in case of emergency. This treatment and diagnosis was no way effective; coughing was now persistent throughout the day which was choking him to death. He was depressed, consulted multiple specialists. Finally, one of them recommended a CAT scan and there the "MONSTER" manifested! Scan reports diagnosed a foreign object in his trachea ( commonly known as windpipe ) which made him recollect something happened cafe. Recklessness of drinking water from a used-soda can! The "monster" was a tin cap of aerated drink! Consequences of accidentally gulping the broken pea sized tin cap were jaw dropping. Sharp ends of the cap eroded his inner tissues. Within all this trouble, according to CAT scan it was stuck into his trachea which eventually led to the accumulation of mucus, dirt, pus. Since, injury by sharp edges wasn't treated initially as he forgot that he gulped a tin cap; his respiratory track was infected. Ultimately his treatment was successfully completed and monster was no more part of his body.
Well, he could afford all the expensive scans and treatments but what about those who can't?!
Recently, kids using used tins of aerated drinks to fill and drink water were observed. Of course they were from neglected zones. What if such type of incident happens with one of them? It may cost a life.
There are sophisticated individuals who can just rail over the government. This junk is created only by this extravagant class who easily throw away cans by opening inch of their car window. These metal cans can be recycled. Hence, garbage and non degradable junk is collected by wagons provided by government everyday and its our responsibility to use the provided service. The case in our country is people deliberately don't care. How much ever we practice scream therapy to convey these things are sublime, this perpetual habit will still reside!
